This year camp will be held at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Broomfield. We’re excited to be able to hold camp here since this is our troop home! The address is 12099 Lowell Blvd, Broomfield, CO 80020.

Our camps are created, organized and run by volunteers.  We do not register through GSCO, and all registration and payment is electronically managed to save trees and expenses on processing fees. Also, because we are not tied into GSCO’s system we cannot offer the camp discounts available from council and cookie sales.

Paying for camp with cookie credits

Cookie credits can be used to pay for camp in the form of reimbursement – when you pay for the camp up front you will receive an email receipt for your payment. Refund policy

There is a $25 non-refundable cancellation deposit through June 1, 2019. After June 1, 2019 the entire camper fee of $175 is non-refundable. Refunds to credit card payments can be processed within one week. E-check refunds have to be mailed and can take up to 2 weeks to be processed.

Before camp

You and your camper will receive a phone call before camp to verify registration information and to introduce you to your unit leader. The phone call will include information about the unit (group) your camper will be in, and what the unit color will be. On the first day of camp we ask that your camper wear a shirt that corresponds with their unit color – this makes the first day run much smoother. The phone call is also a great time to ask any questions you may have.

Camp day

Camp runs from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm July 29 – August 2

    • Drop off:  8:45- 8:55 with your unit.  Campers must be signed in with their unit leaders.  Please be patient as we ensure everyone is checked in. 
    • Activities will begin at 9:00 am
    • Lunch is scheduled for 11:30 am, afternoon snack is scheduled for 1:30 pm
    • Pick up: 3:30pm -3:45pm from your unit. Please go to your camper’s unit leader to sign them out. Please do not arrive prior to 3:30 unless prior arrangements have been made.
    • Girls must be signed out by the adult picking them up. Adults who are not the parent or guardian of the camper must be on the carpool list and must be known to the camper. Carpool drivers who do not also have a camper in attendance must have a photo ID with them – a picture will be taken of the ID as record.   
    • Fees will be incurred for late pick ups (after 4:30)
  • If for any reason your child cannot attend camp on one of the days, please notify us as soon as you can.

What to bring to camp

  • Day pack/backpack to hold the remaining items on the list:
  • Lunch
  • Full water bottle (please bring a reusable bottle.  Recyclable water bottles will be sent home with campers to be recycled)
  • Bandana
  • Light jacket or sweatshirt
  • Poncho or light rain jacket
  • Whistle on a lanyard or cord
  • Pocket knife (optional – 5th grade and up only)
  • Contact phone numbers for parents or guardians (inside daypack)
  • Non-aerosol sunscreen (lotions and creams work best)
  • Sunglasses
  • Lip balm
  • An old t-shirt from home to be made into a re-usable bag. Any large, cotton t-shirt will work. Tech t-shirts or slick materials are not recommended.
  • Sit-upon *
  • Label EVERYTHING with your camper’s name

 What to wear

    • Hat – baseball caps are ok, but the broader the brim, the better. A wide brim that goes all the way around is a great option.  
    • T-shirts with sleeves that cover the shoulders are preferred
    • Shorts or comfortable lightweight pants – shorts should be fingertip length (no short-shorts!)
    • Socks that cover the ankle
    • Sneakers/tennis shoes
    • Sunscreen – please apply sunscreen to your camper before drop off
  • Monday: if possible, please wear a t-shirt, hat, bandana or other article of clothing  that corresponds with your unit color.  Also – we are making tie-dyed shirts the first day and it could get messy!

 What not to bring to camp/what not to wear to camp

  • Electronics
  • Glass bottles or containers
  • Anything valuable – money, jewelry, cell phones etc
  • Aerosol sunscreen or insect repellent
  • Open toed shoes, crocs, sandals
  • Halter tops, tank tops
  • Anything that cannot get dirty or wet

Food at camp

Please bring a lunch, a small snack, and a full water bottle with you to camp each day. To avoid any health issues, and to insure that all girls eat a healthy lunch that matches their nutritional needs, we are providing afternoon snacks only. We will send out information about the snacks we will be providing ahead of time so that parents will know what to expect.

* Go simple!  If you don’t have a sit-upon you can use a lawn chair cushion, or make one out of vinyl table cloth (stitched or taped together with newspaper or foam inside) These make sitting on the ground and on picnic benches much nicer!
